Through all the intellectual storms of history, teaching has remained, above all, a performance art that unfolds in real time.
I’ve always thought that the most important difference between me and a textbook is that I am a better storyteller! I’m only half-joking when I say this.

Interesting, because I’ve just completed my master’s project where I discuss the metaphor of theatre and the online instructional design world (”The Theatrical Production of Online Instructional Design: A Guide for Classroom Teachers”)
Theatre and teaching are one in the same.
